These reports were first required under the Census Law, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 548, Laws of 1913. By 1939, the census law was revised amending Mason's Minnesota Statutes of 1927 requiring a complete school census to be taken in very school district annually between August 15 and September 15: Chapter 189-H.D. No. 1022. By 1945, the Census Law was rewritten: "Minnesota Statutes 1941, Chapter 132, Section 132.04. Some of the family names included are: Mittelstadt, Anderson, Fette, Leslie, McColley, Palm, Nelson, Bethke, Priebe, Runnerstrom, Hokanson, Peterson, Jacobson, O'Neil, Kujath, Storckel, Kratz and Swanson. School District Clerk: A. H. Mittelstadt; A. H. and his wife Clara, were parents of Luverne, Adeline and Ruth.Cataloged By
