Description

Comb and Brush Kit. Material: textile, wood, plastic, metal. Size: 3 1/2" W. x 8 1/4" L. Description: light brown leather packet with ends and sides that fold toward center and close with two silver colored ornately patterned metal snaps in a flap over the top; contents: three leather strap loops hold one bristle brush with wooden handle stamped "Japan", and a smaller short stiff bristle brush with white celluloid handle (not part of original set) stamped on handle: "France". (Comb and one brush missing.)

Context

Note with artifact: "Comb and Brush kit. Given to H.A. Panzram by his pupils in rural school in early 1900's. August 1959"
