Description: hand tool for shaving ice; metal scoop and four prong cutting blade attached to cracked wooden handle; stamped on the bottom side of riveted cutting blade: "North Bros. MFG. Co. Phila. Pat Apr 9 1884"; this configuration was referred to as the CROWN chipper.
