Material: textile. Size: 52" W. x 56" L. Description: black wool yarn - hand-crocheted - designed with a 37" square of shell stitched design with a 6" W. border - outside edges fringed with a 5" W. heavier black wool yarn - some of the fringe is a dark charcoal gray.

Note: "Belonged to Esther Satterlee Lewis. Mrs. Lewis lived in either Lodi or Baraboo, Wisconsin. She was the mother of Mr. Benedit Lewis, Waseca attorney. She died about 1893." Woman's Accessories.
