Russian Woven Reed Shoes. (a) Right shoe. Material: reed. Size: 6" W. x 10 3/4" L. x 2 3/8" H. Description: tan reeds woven into the shape of a slip on shoe; second layer of woven reed reinforces sole. (b) Left shoe. Same as (a). The shoes are tied together with a long twisted rope of reed fibers. Immigration.
