Description

Men's Shoe. Material: leather, metal. Size: 3 1/3" W. x 10" L. (approximately shoe size 5). Description: black leather; ankle height, button type; shined leather lower half; pierced leather design across toe area; dulled leather upper wraps around ankle with button holes on one end and seven black buttons on other end; buttons at outside ankle. (a) Right shoe. (b) Left shoe.

Context

Bought at Henry Wicklow Store in Meriden about 1917. Button hook probably given with shoes (#1036c). Men's Accessories. These boots were also used as a display item at the Guyer and Martinson Store in Waseca.
