Description

Material: metal, leather. Size: 3" W. x 11 1/2" L. x 3 1/2" H. Description: cast steel sole and blade - brown leather heel and strap - metal buckle on strap - metal sole clamps onto wearer's shoe and clamps with an adjusting screw - one-point blade riveted to sole - clover leaf design cut into sole. Rusty.

Used by donor. Purchased in Alden when she was a young girl. Her maiden name was Carrie Skiff. Manufactured by Union Hardware Co., Torrington, Conn, patent date, 4 Aug 1894.
