Name/Title

Strohl Barn

Entry/Object ID

95.08.13

Description

The image shows a large, weathered barn with a rounded roof and two cupolas, nestled in green landscape under a clear blue sky; a red ladder leans against the smaller connected structure, while a smaller white building is situated nearby, accompanied by a winding driveway that curves through the grass.

Context

This barn was built by Elmer Strohl in 1925, on the foundation of a 1900 barn built by Ed Willis and also used as a living space for a person recovering from tuberculosis. This is a photo of the barn in 2005 when it was re-shingled and restored.
