Originally a possession of Lawrence Bruzek, a hardware store owner in New Richland born in 1899 and died in 1981. The item came into possession of the Weckwerth family in New Richland and eventually ended up in the attic of a house at 215 N. Mott St., Janesville, MN. Bruzek's Hardware Store was a landmark on the main street of New Richland for generations, unique because although the store sold paint, the outside of the building was never painted.Lexicon
