Herter's Vinometer. (a) Vinometer. Material: glass. Size: 3/4" diameter x 5 1/8" L. Description: clear glass rod extending to a small thimble sized bulb at the top that has a pouring lip; sides of the glass rod are marked in gradients marked from 0 to 20; made in the U.S.A. (b) Instruction sheet. Size: 4" x 4 1/4". Description: white paper printed with directions on how to use the vinometer to test the percentage of alcohol in wine; company information: "Herter's Inc., Waseca, Minnesota 56093, Since 1893". (c, d) Box. Material: paper. Size: 7/8" x 8 3/4" x 3/4". Description: white box with green lid; lid stamped: "Herter's Vinometer 24-7000-A7".
