In this sepia-toned photograph, three figures—a young girl and two women—stand on a wooden sidewalk, bordered by a wooden fence and leafless trees, casting elongated shadows in the sunlight. The girl, dressed in a light-colored frock with a lace collar, the two women, adorned in dark, long-sleeved Victorian dresses with high collars and puffed shoulders, stand closely together with a two story clapboard house in the background; other houses stand side by side down the street behind them.
