Description

Janesville High School Band Uniform. (a) Cords. Material: textile. Size: 26" L. Description: gold wool - two lengths, one straight, one braided - hooks onto jacket shoulder. (b) Bib cover. Material: textile, metal. Size: 13 1/2" W. x 18 1/2" L. Description: gold wool, black & white piping on collar and sides - "JHS" monogrammed in black felt on front - JHS Bear emblem on back - two brass snaps on left shoulder - one brass button on left shoulder for cords - two side straps with metal adjuster on each side - collar protector with nine metal snaps (removes for laundering).

Context

Used by the Janesville High School Band between 1960-1980s. Last worn by Ann Gesner who graduated from JHS in 1982. The band director in 1980 was David Shea.
