Description

U.S. Navy Nurse Corps Uniform. Material: metal. Size: 1/2" W. x 3/4" L. x 3/8" thick. Description: gold tone - rectangular bar (Rank of Ensign) - metal post and backing for clothing attachment - shorter prongs on ends to keep pin straight against cloth. Attached to uniform 3245 cc-ff.

Waseca County Military - WWII. Women. Worn by Florence Scholljegerdes, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Scholljegerdes. She enlisted in the Navy Nurse corps, 10 Dec 1943, as an ensign. At the time of her gift of uniforms to WCHS, she held the rank of Commander U.S.N.R.
