U.S. Navy Nurse Hat. #3250 a,b,c,d,e. Material: plastic, textile. Size: 7" diameter x 2 3/4" H. Description: blue plastic - rain cover for crown of #3250a - shell shaped with blue grosgrain sweatband -white inside label: "23 1/2". Double numbered #1.82.7c.

Context

Used by Lt. Florence Scholljegerdes, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Scholljegerdes. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps, 10 Dec 1943, as an ensign. At the time of her gift of uniforms to WCHS, she held the rank of Commander U.S.N.R. (1971). Double numbered #1.82.7c
