Description

Light Brown Beaded Brocade Waist Jacket. Material: textile, metal, beads. Size: 56" W. (cuff to cuff) x 17" L. Description: light brown faille jacket woven with a subtle raised pattern and ornately trimmed with orange and gold beaded band on jacket edge, around wide collar and cuffs; jacket opens to an under blouse of orange silk layered over with horizontal ruffles of ivory net trimmed with narrow brown velvet cord; upper bodice blouse to high collar is heavy brown taffeta under ivory lace; ruffles of ivory lace and orange silk and a band of brown velvet trim the wraparound collar; puffed long-sleeves are sewn with intervals of three horizontal pin tucks from wrist to shoulder; sleeve tapers to a point at the wrist and is trimmed with a double row of tiny orange and gold beads and a narrow band of brown velvet; inside: vertical stays around bodice.
