Context

Note from Bonnie (Witt) Proechel: "Marriage certificate is in German for my grandparents, Robert Witt and Bertha Rost. They were married on January 19, 1904 (Monday) at Iosco Lutheran Church, Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota. The witnesses were: Henry Minske (brother-in-law), who is married to Paulina Rost (Berta's sister). The others were friends: Katherine Pfaff, Daniel Pfaff (Prediger)*. This marriage certificate was given to me by my uncle, Elmer Witt, who was my Godfather. He was in charge of my grandmother's affairs. My uncle felt that I should have this, as I was doing the Witt family history." *Daniel Pfaff was the officiating minister (Prediger), not a witness.
