Steampunk Hoodwinks
A big thank you to Acacia Lodge No. 58 for their recent donation of these awesome, steampunk-esque hoodwinks! These were likely produced in the early 20th century, and must have made for quite the stylish initiation ceremony for any candidate who wore them. Acacia Lodge merged with former Lodges Laurel No. 119 and Reardon No. 146, so these hoodwinks may have been used in any of the three. Whatever the case, we are happy to have them!
The Washington Masonic Library & Museum is committed to preserving and sharing Masonic heritage for generations to come. Do you or your Lodge have artifacts you are interested in donating or learning how to care for? Contact chelsea@masonscare.org for more information.
