Description

Young Farmers Club badge

Context

The Young Farmers Club was started in 1921 in Devon. The badge or supporters pin may have started in the 1940s. The design of the sunrise on the horizon, embossed pair of horses ploughing, the ploughboy and the wheat in the foreground remained very much the same for many years. Originally the badge was only inscribed with Young Farmers Club, the county was a later addition.
