Description

Black metal lamp with two glass panels , one to the front and one to the side which is protected by a metal cage. In the rear of the inside of the lamp is a reflector with a circular aperture to allow the light to shine through the red glass at the rear. The front panel opens to access the fuel reservoir and the wick. The panel is closed with a pin mechanism and the wick can be controlled from outside the lamp by turning the small cap at the end of the rod attached to the wick. The lamp has a handle on the top and a hook at the back, which has a rectangular hole - perhaps to fix to something specific.

Context

There is no makers name on this lamp but just the word 'Paten' about the front glass. It is very similar to the' Duntafil'.
