The history of Dunlop boot starts in 1888 when John Boyd, a Scottish veterinarian, invented the pneumatic tyre. In 1927 he designed the rubber boot and in 1936 he designed two kinds of rubbers boots for sheep - one with the wrap around fastening (illustrated) for 2s 11d and one with a zip closure for 3s 6d.Acquisition
