Description

Black leather ankle boot for a child with a six button fastening. Extra leather for sole fastened with nails. These shoes both machine made and cobbled. The buttons would have most likely been glass attached to a metal shank.

Context

Possibly made c 1890s and would have been an everyday shoe. A button-hole hook would have been required to fasten the boots.
