Women's Royal voluntary Service badge (WRvS)

Context

Formed in 1939 and launched in 1939 badges were given to members who were then entitled to purchase a uniform. There were many changes in both the uniforms and the hierarchy within the WRvS that entitled an individual to wear a uniform. The back of the badge shows the clasp and indicates where is was made.
