Copper lamp/heater, with metal gauze cylinder and hook for suspending in the air or hanging from a bar. The fuel reservoir is kept in place with three clips. The Desmo logo of a flying car is on the lamp. The fuel would have been paraffin.Context
Desmo, who were from Brierley Hill, Staffordshire are very much associated with car accessories. In the period 1900-1940s they were makers of windscreens and also developed wing mirrors that if knocked would spring back into place.Cataloged By
