The book is part of the Dr's Homeopathic Medicine box (entry 2025.1.674) Published posthumously in 1879 Stepping Stones to Homeopathy & Health was written by Edward Harris Ruddock (1822-1875). He was an orthodox Dr who converted to homeopathic medicine and became a physician at the Reading and Berkshire Homeopathy Dispensary. He was a prolific writer, embracing children's diseases, surgery and common diseases of the time such as tuberculosis. He looked at diet and preferred to think that large consumption of bread and butter was more likely to contribute to ill-health, than constipation as was a common theory at the time. The inscription on the front leaf of the book may say ? ? Brown, 1880.Category
