Greenall Whitley was a prominent English brewing company with a long history. Greenall's first brewery was established in St Helens in 1762, and a second brewery was later established in Warrington (Wilderspool) in 1787. The company also acquired other breweries, including Groves & Whitnall in Salford, Shipstone's in Nottingham, and Davenport's in Birmingham.
