Description

A wooden handle with a metal blade inserted into the wood and held with pins. The blade has a thumb/finger pressure pad on the top. The name of the maker Floyd Tool Co., Sheffield. Reg No 499048 is inscribed on one side of the blade.

Context

Although there is a maker's name on the side of the blade, it is possible that the metal pad on the top of the knife has been added by the craftsman to suit his own use.
