Name/Title

Small horse shoes

Entry/Object ID

Description

A pair of small iron horseshoes. The metal is corroded and many of the nail holes no longer visible.

Context

The small size of the shoes makes it unclear as to what animal they may have been made for. Perhaps a pony, a donkey, a foal? It should also be considered that horseshoes were smaller in times past, as the modern breeding of horses has increased the size of their hooves.
