Historical information on Gateway Lumber for 1976 Bicentennial Celebration in Waupun, WI Gateway Lumber Mr. Elmer Haas, came to Waupun March 26, 1910 from Kingston to work in the yard of what was then called Yawkey-Crowley Lumber Company and Mr. Haase stayed to work and manage the lumber company for forty-four years, now known the Gateway Lumber Company at 1 W. Main Street. He retired in 1954 and Leland Smith took over as manager.
