Historical information on Bon Ton for 1976 Bicentennial Celebration in Waupun, WI Bon Ton Theobald "Ted" King, former operator of the Commercial Hotel and King's Bar purchased the Bon Ton Tavern at 320 E. Main from Gust Aposketes in August 1949. Aposketes continued as owner of the building. Mr. and Mrs. King better known as Ted and Happy continued to operate the Bon Ton until Ted passed away in 1976. Happy is operating it with the help of her twin sister, Lucille Tutton.
