Souvenir spoon collectionDescription
Seventeen collector spoons consisting of silver, gold wash and stainless steel. Fifteen are souvenirs from Waupun with highly decorative handles, pictures of the State Prison, the Waupun (Carnagie) Library and letters, names and dates ranging from 1882 to 1911.
Two spoons of stainless steel are from Oklahoma and feature the End of The Trail statue which is located in Waupun. A stage coach and a covered wagon charm adorn these two spoon handles.
Spoon 1: Sterling silver with gold wash. With a decorative handle, the bowl of the spoon has "Waupun, Wis etched onto it. Design patent date stamped is 1911.
Spoon 2: Sterling silver spoon with decorative handle. The bowl is etched with the picture of the State Prison and the words "State Prison Waupun, Wis."
Spoon 3: Sterling silver/ gold wash collector spoon has highly decorative handle with the picture of the state prison and the words State Prison, Waupun, Wis etched into the bowl of the spoon.On the back side of the spoon the number "99" and the name "Emma" are etched into the handle.Acquisition
