A picture of the original home of Seymour Wilcox. The bird house was purchased in Madrid, New York, in 1954.
In 1964 my uncle Earl Newton Wilcox put shakes on the roof, made a door and added the stone chimney to make a replica of the first log cabin built in Waupun, Wis. By Seymour Wilcox for his family in 1839, March 20th .
Uncle Earl well remembered to ole 1st town meetings, 1st church service ext:
First white male child, Ira Jason Wilcox was born there. The stepping stones came from our Gr. Gr. Grandpa Newtons' farm in Ferrisburg, Vermont , Addison Co. In 1954. by Earl and I when we visited in the East our 1st trip out we made a number of other trips there.Acquisition
