Historical information on the Classic Theater for 1976 Bicentennial Celebration in Waupun, WI *NOTE: Spelling errors are left just as originally typed and handwritten. Classic Theater Victor Wilson, manager of the Classic Theater announced that a new Cinemascope screen, giant panoramic screen of the new seamless type was installed June 8, 1954 at the theater. The picture projected on the new screen was twenty-five feet wide and fifteen feet high and enabled the Classic to show the new pictures of Cinemascope, Vista Vision and other wide screen productions. New loge seats were also installed. In December 1957, the theater was purchased by the Marcus Theatre Management Company, of Milwaukee from Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Porter and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wilson. The new company owned and operated a chain of theatres in neighboring cities. It was torn down in ______to make way for a Clark's Service Station, which remains today.
