Glamour Shop
Mrs. Leona Reabe, owner of the Glamour Shop, 320½ E. Main Street, marked her 30th anniversary as a beautician on October 1, 1975. Her present staff includes four operators and herself.
When she started 30 years ago, finger waves were the vogue and hot spiral or Crokinal permanents were given. The hair was wound on pins and then attached to an electric machine to heat for a given time.
These "hot" permanents gave way to cold waves and pin curls to rollers.
Today, she has a new type permanent called the "Uniperm". It is a precision perming system - like a cold wave, giving the hair body to hold any desired style.
The shop also uses a new hair spray containing no fluro carbons-nor gas propellant which is detrimental to the environment.Acquisition
