KING MANUFACTURING CORPORATION - PRE-ENGINEERED BUILDING SYSTEMS
HISTORY
Started operations in Waupun in 1966 as a sheet metal fabricating plant supplying pre-engineered buildings and canopies to the major oil companies. Our company introduced prepainted galvanized steel panels as an alternative to the more expensive porcelain panels which were commonly used in service station construction previously. We work closely with oil companies in engineering new buildings and in design changes in existing buildings to modernize and rehabilitate run down properties. We also serve several manufacturing plants in the Waupun area by performing various sheet metal and structural fabrication operations for them. We have a leveling line which will level and up-cut light gauge coil stock in lengths up to 25 feet and a press brake that will form materials up to 25 feet. In 1968 we developed an architectural structural wall system which has since been used on many industrial buildings.
