ONE HOUR MARTINIZING
Mr. & Mrs. Jack Vermeer openen the One Hour Martinizing Shop on West Main Street at highway 68 (Fox Lake Road) in October, 1972.
The Vermeer's aren't new to Waupun as he was a state worker at the prison for 6 years. They moved to Union Grove and lived there for 6 years and then to Elkorn for 18 months before returning to Waupun.
Mr. Vermeer worked part time at a Martinizing Shop in Elkhorn while being employed in the laundry department of State Service.
Drycleaning of wearing apparel and draperies or curtains is done at the One Hour Martinizing, and it is one of three dry cleaners in the City; the others being the Waupun Launderers and Clearers and Ver Hage's Fabric Care Center.Acquisition
