Peters Shell Service
Donald Peters purchased the 76 Station, at Fond du Lac St. in May 1976 from James Gerritson.
Mr. Peters changed over to Shell products & put in self service gas equipment and closed the repair garage.
James Gerritson purchased the Sunoco inventory from Bob
kraemer in . . . . . .and also handled auto repair & overhaul service. When Sunoco gas & products left Wis during the energy cirsis, Union 76 came in and it was called Gerritson's Union 76 Service.
Bob Kraemer bought the station from D-X Sunray Corp. which in turn bought it from the Waupun Oil Company & the station that was known for years as the Powder Puff Filling Station.
D-X Sunray Oil Co. was a corporation formed by a merger of the Mid-Continent Petroleum Company & Sunray. Home offices were located in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a district office in Madison.
The Powder Puff was torn down and a new station of cement block was constructed by Howard Brothers.Acquisition
