First Edition, "Copyright applied for." The price was 25 cents to the public and 15 cents to those in the service.
Containing a table of contents and a quote by Walt Whitman, this compilation of songs doesn't have a particular author/writer, but indicates the government printing office in Washington, was responsible for this publication dated 1917.
The book contains a picture of a group of servicemen from both the Army and Navy.
