Letter from June Kelly dated Christmas, 1993. Interesting letter filled with historical facts and her travels around Ohio. She talks about writing her book on Old Abe, the Civil War Eagle of Co. C, 8th Wisconsin Infantry, and also about the Waupun statues. Meeting Stuart Hanisch and perhaps getting small statues, letters, papers and other items of historical value for Waupun. Also she mentions "The Citadel" statue (which now stands outside the Waupun Heritage Museum) which was in storage at the University of Southern California. Stuart Hanisch was instrumental in getting this returned to Waupun. Includes on the top of the first page a hand-painted goose.Acquisition
