History of Waupun Clubs. Typewritten copy. No name or date given as to who wrote it/submitted it but it was typed before 1940 as it refers to "The World War."
CLUBS.
OLD SETTLERS' CLUB -- organized on Feb. 8, 1875. Members eligible if they had been in Wisconsin before or by 1850. Fond du Lac County History -- pp. 714-16.
Young Men's Literary Association and Debating Club -- January, 1867.
Soldiers' Aid Society -- Carried on various activities during the Civil War. Home talent plays--packing of barrels of potatoes and onions to be sent to the front to help prevent scurvy. 1861-1865 (?).

Organizations during the World War. General organization and the Women's organization.
The Young Men's Literary Association and the Widow Bedott Club were parts of the Temperance organizations.
WAUPUN DRIVING PARK ASSOCIATION --organized in May, 1892, with a capital stock of $5,000. 15 incorporators. p. 168, Mrs. Towne's scrap-book. Officers D. P. Doty, Pres., E. D. Doney, Sec., and W. W. Harris, Treas. Note: As the Heaths have a program of races held earlier than that, they believe this note referred to a reorganization. See them about it. [?]
