Dodge Hall (Corner of Main and Madison--SW) Sometimes called Temperance Hall.
I. O. G. T. or the Good Templars--Prison CIty Lodge No. 21. Met every Wednesday evening at Temperance Hall. In 1868, the W. R. S. was P. M. Pryor.
Sons of Temperance--Regular meetings of Welcome Division No. 204, S of T., every Friday evening, at their rooms in Starkweather's building.
Temperance Cadets--organized by Mrs. E. Hillyer, Mrs. E. D. Foote and Mrs. E. Hooker. 1860s-1870s. "It was non-sectarian, embracing all Sunday schools and all the children they could gather together. Lawyers, statesmen, judges and authors can look back with a smile to their early attempts at music and oratory, but who can say how large a part their teachings there received had in the shaping of their lives! They did the sowing in the 60's and 70s; we are reaping the harvest in 1917." Mrs. Doty.
