After the uprising.
Broken beds and other furniture, bedding and inmates' personal belongings were scattered all over a dormitory at the Waupun Correctional Institution when journalists were allowed to tour the prison Tuesday. Inmates held 15 hostages and took control of two sections of the prison Monday during a 7 1/2-hour uprising. The recreation room, below the dormitory, also was damaged. Classrooms and the prison library, in a separate building, also were in disarry. Reporters could examine some of the makeshift weapons (at right) that prison officials found after the disturbance.Acquisition
