June R. Olm Funeral Card with Obituary June R. Olm, 84 of Waupun died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Rocky Knoll Health Center in Plymouth, WI. June was born February 16, 1923 in the town of Alto the daughter of John and Mabel Scholten Kloosterboer. June graduated from Waupun High School in 1941, attended Lakeland College and subsequently received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1946 she married Rev. Paul Olm. June resided in various communities in Wisconsin and Ohio before moving back to Waupun in 1975. During her career, June taught school and served as a substitute for area school systems. She was an active participant within the United Church of Christ on the local, state and national levels and was a member of their Board of World Ministries and also founder of the United Church of Christ Women in Green County, WI. She was a member of Union Congregational Church in Waupun where she served as Christian Education Director and Program Director for many years. June was active with the Waupun Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, serving as president. She loved nature and gardening and was passionate about the Arts and Current Affairs. June is survived by: A daughter, Kay Olm Thomas of Cambridge, MA a son, Paul (special daughter-in-law Kathy) Olm of Glenbeaulah, WI two grandchildren: Joshua P. Olm of Oshkosh, WI Johanna Thomas of Sydney, Australia A brother, Bernard Kloosterboer of Waupun A sister-in-law, Joyce Kloosterboer Forman of Florida an aunt, Millie Kloosterboer of Waupun Dear friend, Ann Pergande of Ohio. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Milton J. Kloosterboer and a sister-in-law, Louise Kloosterboer. God hath not promised skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through; God hath not promised sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
