The South Ward school c.1930.
The South Ward high school was built in 1872, and until 1900 was the high school for the Dodge half of Waupun. In that year, the North and South wards were forced by the state Superintendent to unify, and South Ward was the high school for the whole city until 1913. At the time of this photograph, South Ward was one of two elementary schools, K-6. The other was Lincoln school.Acquisition
