Stereo view of the front of the prison. Shows a man with a cane coming into the building. Notice the landscaping between the building and the fence. There is a road, turn around and a stone step to aid people when they get out of a carriage. The vertical post is probably to tie horses. The Waupun Heritage museum has one of the planters shown on the right of the walk. This area is presently a building addition. On the back is written in ink: State Prison View (?) Waupun Wis. Oct. 29, 1877. The name of the company that made the Stereo view is also indicated: S. M. Taylor, Berlin, Wisconsin.Acquisition
