Bond of 1930
The City of Waupun, in the Counties of Dodge and Fond du Lac, State of Wisconsin, for value received, promises to pay to the bearer on the 1st day of March, 1931, A. D., the sum of Five Hundred Dollars with interest thereon from date hereof, at the rate of six per cent per annum payable semi-annually on presentation of the coupons hereto annexed.
Both principal and interest of this bond are payable at the City Treasurer's office in the City of Waupun, Wisconsin.
This bond is issued to anticipate the collection of a part of the first installment of a special assessment levied for the purpose of improving the following streets and portions of streets in said City of Waupun, as follows:
Jefferson Street from Watertown Street to State Street, by paving; Lincoln Street from Watertown Street to Madison Street, by paving; Drummond Street from Jefferson Street to Franklin Street, by paving; Main Street from Watertown Street to Carrington Street, by paving; Franklin Street from Watertown Street to Mill Street, by paving; Forest Street from Jefferson Street to Main Street, by paving; Mill Street from Jefferson Street to Main Street, by paving;
West Main Street from Beaver Dam Street to a point 115 feet west of Fox Lake Street, by the addition of six feet of permanent concrete pavement and integral curb on each side of the pavement now laid in said street;
which said installment bears interest from the 1st day of August, 1930, A. D.
This bond and the interest thereon are payable solely out of the special fund provided to pay the cost of said improvement and the city pledges the exercise of the utmost good faith and diligence in the collection of said special fund.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said City of Waupun has caused these presents to be signed by its Mayor and City Clerk and its corporate seal hereunto affixed this 1st day of August, 1930.
