Probably from 1916-1917 Philharmonic Secretary's report:
Dear Madam President.
The committee for "Annual Festivities" met in the E. M. Beach Lecture Room Friday April 21st at 3:30 P.M. The chairman of the committee had corresponded with Mrs. Pasha to give "War Brides" several musicians in Milwaukee and Fond du Lac for the Music Department of Lawrence College at Appleton but a great deal of expense was to be incurred if any of that were secured.
An invitation from Mrs. Wm. Mengold was extended to the Philharmonic Club to hold a picnic at her cottage in Green Lake a little later on. After discussion the committee decided that "In view of the fact that we will have two public concerts and our treasurey was law, and that if the club felt they wished to accept the invitation for the picnic they would not have our "Annual Festivities Day." The following committee was appointed to confer with Mrs. Mengold as to date and an {unreadable] for picnic. Respectfully submitted by Mrs. Hoffmann, Mrs. Faber, Mrs. Marshall, Mrs. Boettcher, Mrs. Doty.Acquisition
