Dear Mrs. Fox:
Thanks for the great gift of the Waupun Cook Book from 1909. We shall treasure your gift.
I wish to get all the information correct. I had a hard time reading your mother's first name. Please include her first name along with her married and maiden name. If you know the maiden name of Mrs. Mary Zeindars (I hope spelling is right) we would also like that. We are computerizing all of our holdings and if possible like to include the maiden as well as married name for the women. If you don't mind, consider listing your maiden as well as married name.
I have enclosed two copies of our donation form. This will give us ownership of the cook book. Please sign both, keep one copy for your records and return the other in the provided envelope. You may take the donation as a deduction of your taxes.
If you are ever in Waupun, please stop by and visit us.
Sincerely,
Jim Laird, President Waupun Historical Society

Very happy you are enjoying the book. Some of the recipe's sound wonderful-(also time and energy consuming.)
My Aunt Mary and my mother were the 7th and 8th children of Peter and Caroline Luedke Dittmann of Ripon, WI
Aunt Mary and her husband, Charles lived one block south of Main St (Jefferson?) The second house from the S. E. Corner.
In the 1930's the Irish family lived on the corner. A Spinster, I believe Dunning? Dunbar? Lived on the N. E. corner.
A niece Florence and her husband John lived on Walker St.

To the Waupun Historical Society,
This cookbook which I am sending you was undoubtley given to my mother Mrs. Ermma Jesse of Ripon by her sister Mrs. Mary Zeindars who lived in Waupun for many years.
Despite its rather sad appearance, I hope you find the book acceptable.
Sincerely Yours.
Doris L. Fox
