Dear Jim,
I hope this letter finds you well. Enclosed are the final copies of the Waupun WWII Memoirs series of the interviews I conducted during the week of 13-17 March 2006, in DVD format, for the use of the Waupun Historical Society. You should find enclosed volumes VIII, IX, X, XI and XII, plus a remake copy of volume I, each containing several of the interviews. As noted on the DVDs, both the Waupun Historical Society and I hold the copyrights to this material. Also enclosed are copies of the Permission to Use Videotaped Interview Material forms that each of the interviewees filled out and signed at the time of their interviews giving us these rights for the Society's files. Although these DVDs are not of professional DVD quality, I think you will find they work quite well with most DVD players. Of the several DVD players that I have, including those build into my computers and those attached to my television sets, these DVDs work well in all except my most inexpensive DVD players. I will also send copies of the written transcripts of the interviews once I am able to get them transcribed into a word document format.
As before, I have also sent one copy of each individual interview to each of the interviewees for their and their families' personal use. Each DVD contained the same copyright info as printed on the DVDs enclosed in this package, plus I added the following to each label of the individual interviewee's DVD, with the appropriate name added:
"This copy is for the personal use of and his/her family only."
I hope you and the Waupun Historical Society will be able to make of use these interviews. Once again, I thank you for your assistance in my endeavor to capture information concerning Waupun and its citizens during the World War II era.
Sincerely,
Robert DanielsAcquisition
