A letter and 10 photos of the great fire that happened downtown on September 7, 1977. The buildings that burned were Meenk and Riel, Inc., an appliance store, and Jud's Rec and Lounge, bowling lanes. The old hotel was razed to create a break in the fire. These photos came from Ges Schrank.
