Beautiful Auditorium heating 800 as Main Feature of Waupun's New Municipal Building
"By far the greatest individual attraction of Waupun's new municipal building and city hall is its splendid new auditoriam. For many years to come this huge room will be the setting for every major community gathering, as well as for those sponsored by large groups, social, civic, or fraternal. Old settlers will gather here to talk of old times, politicians will plead their platforms, groups or individuals will hold dances, banquets and festivals, and home talent or professional troupes will give many entertainments here."
Taken from the City Hall and Auditorium Supplement, The Waupun Leader, April 5, 1928.
We appreciate the fine craftsmanship of:
Maria DeGroot of Sew Creative, Randolph for the stage and balcony curtains.

verses 1 and 2 written by Rev. W. E. Staeling and sung at 1928 City Hall Opening
V1. "Waupun, the light of day
Bright as the morning ray,
Thy name appears.
May God the source of light,
Keep thee in honor light,
And from His lofty height
Prosper thy years."
V2. "Waupun, they city hall
Rises to fair and tall,
Up to the skies.
So may your tunes and lays
Our hymns of thanks and praise,
To Him who rules our ways,
For aye arise."
V3. My Country 'tis of Thee
Sweet land of liberty
of thee I sing.
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrim's pride,
From every mountain side,
Let freedom ring!"Acquisition
